Diana E. Brown SWLA was
born in1929 in Cambridge.
She is an artist and illustrator specialising in deer and local wildlife. She
has always lived in the country.
She works in
watercolour and oils as well as pencil and pen. She prefers to draw from life,
with particular attention to movement and character.
After Graphic Design
course at Tunbridge Wells School of Art, she studied with foremost Danish
sporting/wildlife artist Leif Ragn-Jensen, who was also a prolific illustrator
of books. Thanks are due to him, Eric Ennion and Maurice Wilson (both of whom
were childhood idols, but not actually met until later in life) for their
encouragement and friendship.
