Born 1950. Trained at Eastbourne and Maidstone
Colleges of Art. A painter in Watercolours
and Oils, and a Printmaker producing limited editions of Woodcuts and Drypoints,
mainly Wildlife and Landscape subjects. He has been a Member of the R.B.A.
(Royal Society of British Artists) and the S.W.L.A. (Society of Wildlife
Artists) since the 1980s.

Robert was involved in
Artists for Nature projects in Poland, Extremadura, Wexford, The Fens, and the
Netherlands. He participated in the S.W.L.A. New Forest Project, and was Artist
in Residence at the Parc des Ecrins in the French Alps for four years. His work
is reproduced in the books connected to these projects, as well as in Twentieth
Century Wildlife Artists (1986, Croom Helm) and Modern Wildlife Painting (1998,
Pica Press), both by Nicholas Hammond. Towards the Sea (1999, Pica Press) is the
first book devoted solely to his work. |
