Although Matthew Hillier is from West Sussex , he
now resides on the Eastern Shore of Maryland USA. He studied wildlife
illustration at Dyfed College of art in Wales, and spent many years as
an illustrator. He became a member of the SWLA in 1986. Although he
travels widely in search of reference, he finds most of his inspiration
comes from floating around the Chesapeake Bay on his wife's
sailboat,watching all the abundant bird life. |
