Deer Rutting - Linocut
The subtle interrelation of
landscape and nature is the focus of Nik’s work. Composing paintings with a
selective eye, he hopes to portray a sense of place by exploring the rhythms of
the subject.
Using
layers of line and shape to break space and creating a semi abstract image with
some literal content, enables him to respond to the surrounding sights, sounds
and smells. Whether endeavouring to retain an instance or allowing a painting to
evolve with the changing elements. |
